In mid 2021 Matt and James from FNQ Nature Tours came across this incredible Perentie, Australia's largest lizard species. This short video includes some close up footage of the animal as well as some tips on how I managed to photograph it.
While exploring the Daintree National Park I was extremely fortunate enough to come across a Mother and Joey Bennett's Tree Kangaroo, one of the most elusive animals in Far North Queensland. This encounter was by far the greatest Wildlife moment I have ever had in Australia. Witnessing the bond between Mother of Joey was mind-blowing.
This incredible short film was created by Lacelid Productions in response to the QLD Government's plan to remove mass Crocodiles from Far North Queensland waterways. A great little education piece on Estuarine Crocodiles in Far North Queensland.
In 2017 I explored Komodo and Rinca islands in search of the world's largest lizard, the Komodo Dragon. The experience I had was one I will never forget. Enjoy the following, clip of several Komodo Dragons devouring a Water Buffalo.
Birds communicate on many different levels through vocals and body language. The Azure Kingfisher is one bird that is known to bow down to each other when in close proximately, it is generally a sign of mating potential.
The Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroo is one of Far North Queensland's more fascinating endemic mammals.
When travelling through FNQ most people have never heard of such a creature, however after only a couple of minutes watching these animals in the wild, it is hard not to fall in love.
This short clip is all you need to see how agile and cute they really are, so lets work together and spread the word of the Tree Kangaroo.
